DLP Driver Electronics

pcb_1_500The DLP circuitry is primarily high-speed digital logic with dual edge clock rates and high-speed LVDS signals. This requires advanced printed circuit board designs.

The printed circuit boards used in the Luxbeam technology are complex multilayer Rigid / Flex-Rigid boards. Advanced layout and routing tools are utilized to design these boards. Only IPC compliant CAD libraries are used. This is to ensure that correct footprints are used to achieve acceptable solderability and high quality assembly.

Advanced simulation tools are used to ensure excellent signal integrity for critical high speed signals. Parameters like impedance, critical timing, crosstalk, board stack-up and even EMI considerations are evaluated in the same simulation environment. This can be performed on both schematic and board level. All to ensure that the behaviour and functions of the finished boards are according to the specifications.

Our ECAD – MCAD capability results in highly detailed 3D models of the complete boards. This will ensure that the boards will fit into their mechanical environment without any mechanical conflicts. Thermal simulations are performed when necessary to discover any potential heat problems.

 

LUXBEAM® 4500 DLP® electronics

vi_011_HDThe high performance LUXBEAM 4500 formatter board is utilizing the DLP Discovery 4100 chip set from Texas Instruments Inc. The LUXBEAM 4500 supports a 1080p 0.95" DMD as well as a XGA 0.7" DMD and enables direct access to the DMD, creating binary or grey scale patterns with extremely high update rates.

In combination with VISITECH's flexible LUXWARE firmware you can create new and exciting high-speed industrial and emerging applications. This includes high speed rapid prototyping systems and lithography applications.

In combination with VISITECH’s flexible optical modules you can have a proof of concept up and running in no time. Light source options include red, green and blue LEDs, IR and UV LEDs and high power UHP projection lamps.

The flexible LUXBEAM® 3500 formatter board is utilizing the DLP® Discovery 3000 chip set from Texas Instruments Inc. The LUXBEAM® 3500 supports a SXGA+ 0.95" DMD, combining high resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio. VISITECH’s LUXBEAM® 3500 formatter board enables direct access to the DMD, creating binary or grey scale patterns with high update rates.

In combination with VISITECH's flexible LUXWARE firmware you can create new and exciting high-speed industrial and emerging applications. This includes high speed rapid prototyping systems and lithography applications.

The LUXBEAM® 3021 DLP® formatter offers a cost effective design with superior picture quality. Supported DMDs are 0.95” 1080p, featuring a 16:9 aspect ratio and 0.96” WUXGA featuring a resolution of 1920 x 1200. This platform is upgradable to WQXGA with resolution 2560 x 1600 giving more than 4 Mpixels and supported by the LUXBEAM HELIOS optical system.

The LUXBEAM® 3021 DLP® formatter provides image processing based on award winning BrilliantColor(TM) and DynamicBlack™ technologies, which provides natural colours and improved contrast.
