The DC2K DMD is a candidate for use in the European Space Agency (ESA) Euclid mission. The Euclid mission is part of the ESA cosmic vision 2015-2025 program and Visitech has developed a test platform that is used to investigate if the DC2K DMD can be used in space applications.
ESA project hardware
The project has been very demanding and our engineers have had to take new environmental conditions into account. This includes making the platform withstand vacuum conditions at -60 Centigrade and designing it so that it complies with radioactive testing.
