Only two weeks after the opening of the new clean room assembly facility in Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park in Pudong, Shanghai, the first prototype batch was successfully delivered to a US customer. No significant technical problems, neither related to the product nor to the clean room assembly facility, has been encountered. “The main challenges have been on the logistics side", says Operations Manager Maggie Luo, being keen to finish everything before Chinese New Year. The project is immediately moving into the pilot production phase, and is expected to provide running production for the next couple of years.
