VISITECH® was established in 2001 by the former R&D team of Davis, a Norwegian high end projector manufacturer. In 2006 VISITECH® acquired the former R&D department of ASK/InFocus in Norway, thus joining the design forces of two former leading edge competitors in the world wide front projection market.
Davis, ASK and InFocus were the pioneers in digital projection. The first DLP® projectors designed by our teams were introduced to the market already in 1996, just being the start of long series of innovative market winning and award winning products.

Both Davis and ASK were established in Norway in 1984. In the 1980's Davis developed and manufactured Transview products. Transview was the #1 brand of digital projection devices to be used with conventional overhead projectors. ASK first developed and manufactured LCD monitors and later also transmissive LCDs for use with overhead projectors.
When the DLP® technology was introduced by Texas Instruments in 1995, our R&D immediately started to work with the new technology, and one of the very first DLP® projectors was introduced to the market in 1996.
Below follows some of the main achievements by our teams from Davis and ASK:
- 1995: DLP® Technology was introduced by Texas Instruments
